Grad's Sustainable Line Land of Goshen Featured in British Vogue

Fashion Design Graduate Raisa Yisrael’s Arizona-based fashion line Land of Goshen is featured in the August issue of British Vogue. “Designed and sewn by FIDM alumna, Raisa, this slow fashion brand offers timeless, modest garments that are class cut wardrobe staples,” said the publication.

“This entire experience has been surreal,” Raisa wrote on Instagram regarding the August issue spotlight. “I launched/created Land of Goshen with the intention to bring awareness to the harmful chemicals and dyes the industry uses to create our clothing, and to highlight the harm it causes our largest organ, our skin.”

The sustainable collection is made to order and naturally dyed, which means it takes anywhere from three to five weeks to cut, sew, and ship to customers. Over the next five to 10 years, the brand aims to grow their own linen, cotton, and hemp, and produce their own silk via silkworms.
